The College of Creative Studies (CCS) at UCSB is one of the three undergraduate colleges on campus. The College of Creative Studies is for passionate students who are committed to advanced and independent work in one of the disciplines represented in the college.
While allowing for a more personalized path of study that fosters advanced learning, CCS students are encouraged to take advantage of the many opportunities afforded to them at a large public research university and engage in rigorous, transformative work, guided by faculty advisors dedicated to their academic growth. Although the curriculum may offer some flexibility, most programs are closely aligned with their corresponding majors in the College of Letters and Science or College of Engineering.
With a small community of around 400 students, CCS provides personalized advising and access to small seminars and intimate tutorials within the college, in addition to offerings and opportunities within Letters and Science and Engineering, as appropriate.
If you're a dedicated, motivated UCSB student ready to push the boundaries of your field, you can apply to CCS through the CCS website at: ccs.ucsb.edu/apply
