Program Description

As a student completing a major in Linguistics, you’ll focus on the structure and use of language as fundamentally human, exploring similarities and differences across the languages of the world in sound, the structure of words and sentences, meaning, language change, and in other aspects of linguistic structure, history, and use. We recommend our programs to you especially if you’re planning to pursue a graduate degree in linguistics and are interested in careers allowing you to make use of the knowledge and analytical skills you develop in linguistic analysis.
