Overview

The Department of Education is a vibrant community of students, faculty, and staff dedicated to transforming schooling so that all children in our diverse society can thrive as knowledgeable, capable, and engaged citizens. Students at both the graduate and undergraduate levels collaborate closely with faculty from multiple disciplines and explore a wide array of research opportunities.

The Department of Education offers M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in three program areas: Culture, Language, and Human Development (CLHD); Learning, Teaching, and Teacher Education (LTTE); and Policy, Program Evaluation, and Research Methods (PPRM). Within each program area are advanced pathways allowing for in-depth study of a chosen field.

The Department of Education offers two minors: 1) a Minor in Educational Studies and 2) a Minor in Science and Mathematics Education.
