Course Description

Dedicated to all the aspects of the Movimento Modernista. Provides a full picture and perspective, not only of important productions from Brazilian Literature (theater, novel, poetry, short story, and crnicas), but also of Modernism in visual arts, architecture, music, and more. Students learn how to critically read literature, and delve into some of the most important works by some of the most important writers and artists in Brazil. Extends up to the contemporary scene in the Brazilian letters and culture.
