Course Description

Structure, reactivity, mechanisms, synthesis, and nomenclature of organic molecules including alcohols, radicals, aldehydes, ketones, carboxylic acids and carboxylic acid derivatives, and aromatic rings. Other topics include organometallic compounds and reactions at the alpha carbon. This course is intended for chemistry majors and others requiring a strong basis in organic chemistry.
