An integrative approach introduces students to fundamental concepts of population and community ecology, and to plant and animal physiology. Field and laboratory activities illustrate basic principles in ecology and physiology as they influence the distribution and abundance or organisms.

This course is intended for first year CCS Biology majors who have completed MCDB 1A, MCDB 1AL, and either Biology CS 20, or concurrent enrollment in EEMB 3.
