Program Description

The Biological Engineering Ph.D. program is at the interface of Engineering and the Sciences, and it benefits from the strong, collaborative relationships that exist across these communities at UCSB. The Ph.D. program provides didactic and research training that supports a depth and breadth of knowledge and expertise within biological engineering. The program has interdisciplinary strengths in biophysics, biomaterials, biomolecular discovery, and computational and experimental systems biology.
