Portuguese - Minor

As a Portuguese minor, you’ll develop written and spoken competence in the Portuguese language, as well as a comprehensive knowledge of the literatures and cultures of Brazil and Portugal, as well as other countries that speak Portuguese (Africa) and to a lesser extent East Asia (China, Southeast Asia and India). The minor program in Portuguese is interdisciplinary and allows you to foster your interests in diverse areas. A Portuguese Minor is an excellent opportunity for you to complement your Spanish Major in terms of your career. Given the similarities between these two languages it makes sense to pursue a minor in Portuguese to enrich our CV and increase your chances of career in education, business, foreign service and more.
