Deadlines (OFAS)
In order to receive priority consideration for funding from UCSB and the California Student Aid Commission (CSAC, the agency that administers state financial aid programs), all financial aid applicants must file the upcoming FAFSA or CADAA before March 2nd each year. Students may still file the FAFSA or CADAA after the March 2nd priority deadline, but they will only be considered for federal financial aid, such as Pell Grant and Federal Direct Loans.
Students who are selected for verification will need to pay attention to UCSB document submission deadlines and should not delay the process. Typically our document submission deadline is June 15th each year, but more details can be found on our website at www.finaid.ucsb.edu. Students who are having difficulty submitting any requested documents should contact our office prior to the submission deadline.
Students should also read their UCSB email and log into My Aid Status regularly to make sure their financial aid file is up-to-date. Missing key deadlines will result in a loss of financial aid eligibility for UCSB Scholarships and Work-Study funding for that academic year.
