ONDAS Student Center
The ONDAS Student Center (OSC) serves as an Academic Resource Center for first-generation college students at UCSB. Their mission is to promote the success and retention of first-generation students with an emphasis on the first year transition and underrepresented student experience. They provide a community space where students can make peer to peer connections with other first-generation students and gain mentorship and academic support from faculty, staff, and other peers.
Resources offered at the ONDAS Student Center include, academic advising from the College of Letters & Science, workshops and programs developed specifically for first-gen students, a community space for studying and connecting with fellow first-gen students, computer usage, free testing materials, free snacks & beverages to support their basic needs and connections with other counselors and staff from various campus departments.
