Bachelor of Arts Degree

Candidates for the Bachelor of Arts degree in the College of Letters and Science must complete the following general subject area requirements:

• Area A - English Reading and Composition

• Area B - Foreign Language

• Three courses from Area C - Science, Mathematics, and Technology

• Three courses from Area D - Social Science

• Three courses from Area E - Culture and Thought

• Two courses from Area F - Arts

• Two courses from Area G - Literature

Students are also responsible for completing the following special subject area requirements:

• Six courses from the Writing Requirement

• European Traditions Requirement

• World Cultures Requirement

• Quantitative Relationships Requirement

• Ethnicity Requirement
