Course Description

Mendelian and molecular genetics. Replication, recombination, transmission and expression of DNA in eukaryotic organisms from yeast to man. Uses of traditional genetics and modern molecular techniques, including molecular genetic approaches to the study of human disease.

Prerequisites

MCDB 1A, EEMB 2 and MCDB 1B, and MCDB 101A. Completion of all listed prerequisites with a grade of C or better.

Advisory Enrollment Comments

Concurrent enrollment in EEMB 129 not allowed. Reduced credit of 2.0 units will be given to students who have received credit for EEMB 129.
